Chapter 8

Dawn and George wait for the elevator to reach the lower floor. When the doors open, the two of them exit the elevator and find themselves in a large hallway with a set of stairs leading to a sub-basement. The hallway is filled with zombies.

Between Dawn and George, they manage to kill most of them except for one that manages to get past their view and grabs George. When the zombie grabs him, the zombie is able to get a bite at him before Dawn shoots the zombie in the head. George pushes it away and shoots a couple of pistol rounds just to make sure.

Pistol Ammo: 23

Condition: Caution (Level 2)

You have used a Green Herb.

Condition: Caution (Level 1)

He decides to heal himself after taking damage right away as he has no idea what to expect at the lower level. Once the zombies are down, the two of them look at the double doors in front of them and try to open it. The door is electronically locked though. The door reads power area.

“Crap… looks like we’ll have to go down the bowels of this place after all.” Dawn says.

“That makes me more suspicious of John. I’m starting to believe he doesn’t want us to get out of here.” George replies.

“We better find a way out of here and fast.” She says.

The two of them go down the stairs where they enter the hallway for the lower level. As soon as they get to the bottom step, they see a few giant spiders. Dawn and George dodge attempts by the spiders to spit acid at them. George shoots one spider with his magnum while Dawn shoots the other with her Desert Eagle.

Magnum Rounds: 15

Two more spiders remain in the large square hall. The third spider rushes towards George who is distracted and tackles him. His higher endurance level allows him to withstand the attack without losing health.

Dawn, on the other hand, jumps up and grabs a pipe above her when the fourth spider tries to tackle her. She hangs on the pipe with the right hand and shoots the spider with the gun on her left hand. Once she kills the spider, Dawn lands on the ground and grabs her survival knife. With the knife, she jumps and thrusts her knife into the spider’s back.

She thrusts the knife a few times trying to kill the spider but it doesn’t die. George gets off the floor and shoots one magnum round into the spider’s mouth. The spider dies just as George has to reload his magnum.

Magnum Rounds: 14

After killing the spider, Dawn picks George up from the floor. Looking around the hall, they see three doors that they can explore. They decide to explore the first door to the left. When they get inside, they find there’s a mini-laboratory where creatures are already being researched.

“I knew something was funky with this place. It looks like Hybrid is already researching and breeding their ‘little’ monsters.” George says.

Dawn sees a Polybius prototype trying to break out of its capsule and warns George.
